General Hire information

It's the responsibility of the person who is hiring this Bouncy Castle to ensure that all possible steps are taken to avoid injury or damage to the Inflatable. Please ensure that the following Safety Instructions are followed:

Access - A castle rolled up is very heavy, when delivering we need at least 3ft access room to the site location. Unless there is a lift this inflatable will not be carried upstairs. We cannot carry inflatables through properties unless agreed prior to delivery. Failure to notify us of this when arriving at a venue or garden will mean full payment of the unit if we are unable to set up due to access issues.

Please ensure no one over the maximum user height uses the equipment, this can be found on the manufacturers tag on the side of the front step of the bouncy castle. No adults are to use any of our castles. Adult use of our equipment may result in injury and or damage to the equipment. In this situation Manchester bouncy castles will not be responsible for any injuries caused. If the castle is damaged through adult use the hirer will be liable for the cost of required safety inspections and repair.

What if the Weather is bad on the day?

It is always good to have a back up plain in case of rain on the day, either an indoor location or gazebo to protect the castle area. We provide a waterproof tarpaulin, should it rain on the day for you to cover the bouncy castle with. We do have a wet weather or Bad weather Policy, where, if the weather is not looking good, high winds or heavy rain you can cancel the day before your hire. If the castle/inflatable is delivered and set up and then not used due to rain unfortunately there is no refund available. On the day of hire if we think the weather is not suitable/ unsafe we will give customers a courtesy call. It's within our rights to to cancel if the weather is deemed dangerous, by law we have to do this. In this situation any deposit will be refunded.

In the case of extreme high winds (gusts above 24mph) or storms on the day of your hire we will give you a call to let you know that your booking is cancelled due to extreme weather conditions. If you can find an alternative venue for an indoor hire we will be happy to set up there for you. Health and Safety is of paramount importance. Please note that we do not take cancelling bookings lightly book safety is our number one priority.

If it rains on the day of your hire please follow the below:

The Bouncy Castle should not be used if it becomes wet on the jumping area. If no shower cover is fitted and in the event of rain, the unit should not be used. Even with a shower cover, anything more than very light rain, then the castle should be turned off and the electric blower and any extension should be disconnected and brought in out of the rain.(our extension cable is waterproof). Any wetness, including bubbling (which is normal) can be dried with a towel.

If it rains heavily please deflate the castle and throw over our waterproof tauplin sheet.

In the event that the blower stops working, please ensure all users get off the inflatable immediately. Carry out a visual check as per instruction given to you on the morning of the hire. If it is not apparent what the issue is immediately contact Manchester bouncy castles on 07702221820.

How/ where is the bouncy castle set up?

Manchester Bouncy Castles will only operate within accepted standards of Health & Safety and our staff on site reserve the right to refuse to provide services that contravenes those standards or the terms of our insurance. Health and Safety is our top priority and we are unwilling to compromise on this.

For outdoor hires the castle needs to be placed on grass in order for us to secure the castle to the ground. Placement on tarmac or Astro turf requires a minimum of 163kg per anchor point (6 anchor points), if this has been discussed and agreed prior to the hire then there will be an additional charge due to the additional load needed and workload in order to set up (also to be agreed prior to the hire.) If the castle is going on to a concrete base please be aware that 6 holes will need to be drilled into the floor to secure using sufficiently rated thunderbolts. Post hire the holes will be filled with sand, again this would need to agreed prior to hire.

How long is the hire for?- Our standard drop off time is between 8-11 AM and collection is between 4-6 PM. If you wish to extend this beyond the hours specified, please let us know and we can discuss an extended hire fee. If your venue has specific times we can also do our best to accommodate this and these will be arranged prior to booking confirmation.

How do I pay? - We accept a number of different payment options you can pay cash on the day prior to set up. We also accept card payment and bank transfer whatever works best for you.
